With 2011 “knocking on the door” it is probably a good time to look over all that has been accomplished in 2010 and to look ahead and decide what we want to have happen in the New Year. But before we do, I have a question for which I would like your thoughts and opinions.
In article Decision/Indecision, which was sent out on September 29th, I spoke about making choices and how “indecision” itself is the worst possible choice in every case. It was a change from earlier articles in that it was more of a “philosophical” discussion. Then, in article Level of Detail Required, sent out on November 16th, I went back to discussing more technical “engineering” issues, specifically when less data on a drawing communicates the design intent better.
So, what I want your feedback on is, “Which type of article do you prefer, the more philosophical one (Decision/Indecision) or the straight engineering one (Level of Detail Required)?” To make it very easy to respond, if you prefer “philosophical” articles just reply with the letter “A.” If you prefer the more technical “engineering” articles reply with the letter “B.” If you like both kinds just answer “C.” Of course any additional comments are very welcomed. Thank you.
For me, 2010 started out very strong but slacked off in the middle of the year. Then in the latter part of 2010 it started picking up again. As there are several projects carrying forward into 2011, my “dance card” coming into the New Year is already somewhat filled up. Don’t worry though; I still have time available to get your work done quickly.
To all of my new clients who decided to come on board with me this year, I thank you for your confidence in me. As you have found when receiving the work I did for your, it was well placed.
To those clients who have been with me for a longer period of time, you know how to ride winner when you have one. Your repeat business and referrals of others is sincerely appreciated.
To everyone else, “What are you waiting for?” If it involves mechanical design of products or equipment, or any kind of manufacturing issue, whether product or process related, I am ready to help you through it. I have a great deal of experience to draw upon.
Finally, I want to wish you, your families and associates, a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.
