Starting sometimes with no more than a verbal description or a sketch on a cocktail napkin, we create 3D CAD (Computer Aided Design) documents of the components, subassemblies and the final (top) assembly that serve to completely define your product.  We accomplish this using the latest in CAD software products.

Not only are each of the components functionally designed, but concurrently, they are designed to incorporate the process to be used to manufacture them.  This process is known as DFM (Design For Manufacturability).

But that is only the beginning.  After we have, so to speak, “built” your product electronically in the CAD software, we will “operate” it on the computer to ensure that it works as desired.  Then, we perform an assembly check to verify that it can be assembled as expected, and, even more importantly, verify that it cannot be assembled incorrectly.  This concept is known as DFA (Design For Assembly).

In addition to all of the product design and/or redesign services offered above, we also offer solutions to manufacturing and assembly issues.  This includes the design of the tooling (fixtures, gauges and assembly aids) to assemble the final product, on up to complete machines.  Major emphasis here is placed on quality, throughput and operator safety and convenience.
